When's the best time to visit the Golden Gate Bridge?

The best time to visit the Golden Gate Bridge is between sunrise and sunset. If you're trying to capture the perfect picture, the best shots are typically in the early morning or at dusk.

What are parking options?

Taking public transit to the bridge is highly recommended due to limited parking spaces. However, the Southeast Side Visitor Parking Lot has visitor services, a gift center, a café and scenic views. There are also two sidewalks for pedestrians and cyclists that end in beautiful Golden Gate Park.

What are the best viewpoints to photograph the bridge?

On a clear day, head northwest to the rugged Marin Headlands to snap the best pictures for the Golden Gate Bridge with a San Francisco skyline backdrop. Located on the Northwest side, Baker Beach offers stunning views. And the images of the bridge from Battery Spencer (on the northwest side) are some of the most iconic in the world.
