The 2nd Annual Transamerica Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon hits the streets of San Francisco on April 6th for a 13-mile race from the Great Highway through the Presidio, across the Golden Gate Bridge, past Fisherman’s Wharf, and finally finishing in front of City Hall at the Civic Center Plaza. More than just a half marathon, the event also features sideline cheer teams, live bands performing at each mile along the course, and finish line entertainment from the popular headliner band, The Neighborhood.
Be sure to stop by the Health & Fitness Expo at the Moscone Center, where you’ll find more than 60 exhibitors displaying the latest sports gear, running apparel, and several interactive fitness clinics offering nutrition information and health tips. The Health & Fitness Expo is open Friday, April 4th from 12pm-7pm and Saturday, April 5th from 9am-5pm. Admission is free.
Registration for the 2nd Annual Transamerica Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon San Francisco is $120 per person through March 30th. Runners age 13 and up are welcome to participate. Registration fees include a race day T-shirt, a gear bag, refreshments, a finisher’s medal and certificate, and entry to the post-race headliner concert.
