Discovery Days
November 1, 2014 @ AT&T ParkThe Bay Area Science Festival will wrap up with a full day of free entertainment and education on November 1. Head over to AT&T Park between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a full afternoon of family-friendly fun. You'll encounter more than 150 interactive exhibits that share fascinating science facts and inspire the imagination. You'll have to believe your own eyes, with experiments that will wow crowds with natural and man-made wonders. Trade in the school textbooks for a more hands-on approach to all there is to learn. The kids will love participating in games that make science fun. Out in the field, these interactive activities include an inside-look at the scientific side of sports, astronaut training, and robotics. School-aged kids can explore their curiosity and bring big ideas back to the classroom. Science kits are available as a perfect souvenir. Adults will take away some new knowledge as well, with displays from leading science and technology companies from all around the Bay Area. Hear from the expert scientists and engineers coming from universities, science museums, research labs, and other prominent local companies. It will be a great day to discuss important issues like health and medicine, engineering, biotechnology, and climate change. There will be plenty to see and do at AT&T Park. You won't want to miss Seals Plaza, where guests can get an up-close-and-personal look at the marine mammals. At Life Science Alley, festivalgoers can collaborate with life science companies to extract DNA and dive into gene pools. Every activity poses a question. Find a wide range of answers about everything from keeping boats afloat to exploring human and animal anatomy during Discovery Days.
