King George Hotel San Francisco California Suites
the customer service was stellar

We have had the pleasure of staying at the King George on two occasions now and could not be more pleased. From the time we drove up to the time that we left, the customer service was stellar. The reasonably priced valet and overnight parking was just the convenience that we needed with little time to waste before our dinner reservation. They checked us in quickly, and when we hurried up to the first floor to drop off our bags we were greeted with a chilled bottle of champagne for our anniversary. What a surprise! Then, the concierge worked his magic to get us a cab ASAP.

Quaint, Convenient and Awesome!

We either stay here or recommend others to stay here all the time. The hotel is awesome because it's centrally located to the theatre district and Union Sq., is a great price and the customer service is amazing. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to insure a pleasant stay. In fact, we were looking for a local restaurant to take our 3-kids and the conceirge, instead of telling us where to go, actually walked us to the restaurant to make sure we got where we needed to go. How cool is that!!!

As for the hotel, it's just what you'd expect in a smaller boutique San Francisco hotel. Lots of charm, a sweet little hotel bar and a nice front room perfect for waiting for friends. Our room and bathroom were actually quite spacious in comparison to other small hotels we have stayed in in the City. It was well stocked with "green" bath products. The location was towards the back of the hotel and windows opened to a empty space between the buildings. No view, but no real noise to speak of either. We have stayed in many different hotels in SF and there is always a certain amount of city noise to be expected, especially with garbage trucks and such in the morning. This time we had little or no issues.

the room temperature was perfect.

The bed and the linens were quite comfortable and the room temperature was perfect. There was a nice flat screen TV, which we didn't use and coffee/tea for making on the desk for morning. But better yet, skip making it yourself and go downstairs for complimentary fresh Peet's coffee and Tea in the bar when you get up and enjoy your morning on the comfortable chairs.
