San Francisco is a city that never rests when it comes to producing new and exciting bars, restaurants, museums, parks and pretty much anything you could imagine. Let's face it, it's hard to stay on top of what's hot in The City! Our team has put our heads together to help out visitors and guests this fall with a short run-down of our lesser known and sometimes newer kid on the block gems out there. Ready?
The kids are going cuckoo over KUSAKABE, the new raw sushi bar in town. From the barracuda to the crispy sesame oyster, we love this place when we're craving the freshest fish in town. It's not too far away, either, in the FiDi.
Duck in the dimly lit Myriad Gastro Pub in The Mission District when you want fare that ranges from new twists on old fashioned dishes (think deviled eggs) to brave selections like bone marrow. This place just opened a couple of months ago, but already has a place in our hearts. They serve beer and wine, but no alcohol.
Are you on the banh mi band wagon? We don't blame you. Hop on a bike and cruise over to the Soapbox Cafe in Russian Hill, serving up Vietnamese, bagels and breakfast! This place is easy on the pocketbook and the taste buds.
When you're in the mood for something a little swankier than a sports bar, take a hop, skip and a jump from Union Square to SoMa/South Beach and discover brand new Lord George. Go for the clam chowder or the interesting Konra Kai mixology wonder of chocolate and orange goodness. This place just opened its doors a couple of months ago and already has a city full of fans, including all of us at King George Hotel! Maybe it's all in the name!
