About 1 year(s) ago by MediaConnect

Even if you just simply appreciate the beautiful boutique, the 30th annual San Francisco Flower and Garden Show is not to be missed. Since 1985 the SF Flower Show has been entertaining visitors and vendors with the gardens, the exhibits, the seminars, and the showcases. A fun family event that even your youngsters will enjoy, this year's event hosted at the San Mateo Event Center in San Mateo is another spectacular celebration. Get landscaping details, edible gardening tidbits, citrus growing pointers and the 4-1-1 on creating a water-wise home during the event's seminars with programs booked every single day. Of course, there's one thing not to be missed during your visit - the gardens! It's the "heart of the event," and easily one of the most talked about events of the entire showcase. This year's theme, "Going Wild," will become life-like in the event's premiere soiree with dozens of submissions and breathtaking gardens that show off surreal landscapes. An array of awards are handed out for those participating in the gardens competition, including "People's Choice Award," "Garden Creator Award," "Sunset's Western Living(r) Award" and the "Golden Gate Cup." Not to be forgotten, Bronze, Silver and Gold award medalists will also shine. All five days are jam-packed with green thumb events for everyone in your family to love, whether you're interested in learning how to take care of indoors plants or want to build your own succulent garden. Of course, once you've escaped back into the gardens of Eden (also known as San Francisco), unwind underneath the fauna of the City by the Bay at the city's King George Hotel.
