The San Francisco Giants
made the Bay Area proud in 2010, bringing home the World Series championship
for the first time since moving to California in 1957. Beautiful AT&T Park
is the Giants’ home ballpark, and is located on San Francisco Bay with amazing
views of Treasure Island, the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, and the Oakland
Hills. AT&T Park boasts gourmet concession stands as well as ballpark
favorites like hot dogs, beer, pretzels, Cracker Jacks, and malted ice cream. A
fun family activity area offers four slides that run through a giant Coke
bottle, batting cages, and a miniature playing field. The Giants’ season runs
from April with exhibition games through September or October, depending on
whether or not they earn a playoff berth. Team favorites Tim Lincecum, Buster
Posey, and Pablo Sandoval are looking forward to a stellar 2012 season, and so
are celebrity fans like Robin Williams and Danny Glover.
